ok, tonight is the last night im spending my time with my family le, before i fly off tmr mrning. haha. this time round, my parents will not be sending me off again. cus they're working, as a sensible kid leh ^^ im fine on my own de :D hah, i will be taking the earliest train all the way from boon lay to changi lo :D wah, rly is independent ttm le woh! :D

today i went out my mum haha. woh, best kid award ah! :D so we went to buy some groceries lo.. lol. in NTUC la! there's this free BMI check so my mum took it. wa, my mum is another 很难 settle 的人 lo. she's like one of my girly frens who keep complaining that "gosh, i'm so fat, i need to diet, ah look at my fats" etc, when she's much slimmer than me la! haha wt. ah, at this moment leh, i have to 出马 le.

mm. ok ah. so ytd in the mrning, i went to the sch for shanghai trip briefing. ehh, actually it is very redundant lo. haha. becus we knw for sure the tchers will repeat the same things over and over again when we go shanghai de. haha. but wad to do? ai yo. listen lo. haha. and after tht, smth huge happened that blew me away like taiwan tornado. *ba bomb* lol. don rly understand? nvm. it's just some class politics lo. haha. *shake head*

then, went to city hall with taikee, xinyi, abi and tianli to meet the other student leaders. haha. outing ma :Dsupposed to go sing k with the facils de. but in the end, me, yvonne, yumo and jingwen went to catch a movie: prince of persia. woh woh woh! :D the movie is super awesome de! the graphics, sound effects and acting 是一流的 lo! haha. i super like action packed movie de ma. it will get ur blood flowing damn fast, then ur whole body warm warm de. *harrr* shuang. lol. paiseh. and i kept munching popcorns like thers no tmr lol :B
and ehhh, i oso enjoy arcade games with jingwen! heh :D aiyooo last min get pwned in daytona :(  lao da dui lian liao. hahaha. i like hanging out with this bunch of like-minded ppl :D cus i feel very comfortable lo. don have to constantly come up with topics to talk cus stuff will just pop out from my mouth naturally heh. we are very spontaneous :D

then aft tt, went to west coast plaza to eat dinner with fng :D heh, the usual ppl lo, claudia, cynthia livia lixuan :D woo, being with these ppl ah, rly feel very 温馨 cus we are really like a family le keke. haha. we went to try the ban bian inside a restaurant :D and the tomyan tastes good woh! wahhhhh :D 口水都要流出来了 haha, then we celebrated the double CCs bday heh. i tell u ah, it's damn hilarious de. haha.
cus u knw the night before, both cynthia and claudia msged us.

haha, see the both of them! heh :D cute hor. both thinking for each other. mm. good frens jiu shi like that one. when i received the two msges, i had a twisted eyebrow laugh. lololol. u try doing it. haha. yup, so in the end, claudia made her first move :D while using the typical excuse of 'going to the toilet', clau and xuan came back with a mini cake for cyn :D heh.

then, is cynthia's turn. but aiyo.. she failed her mission. lol. we didnt manage to surprise claudia in the end, cus her eyes too sharp alrdy :D haha. but yeahhh we had a super great night la! :D

har, before i go shanghai, glad to go out with these two grps of ppl heh heh :D maybe going out with hyung on next mon woh! looking forward to it heh heh :D ok ba, tmr i shall spend some time with my mum :D

keke sooo im back from camp heh :D ah, i also donno where to start leh. heh. this yr really feels damn different de lo! cus firstly, haha like what i have said before, im not a camp participant anymore but an exco member. so naturally, i don't feel as much enthusiasm or anticipation as i know what will be happening throughout the camp le mah lol :D but this camp indeed made me feel accomplished :D and also, i get to try out new things, for example, experimenting with the PA system: adjust the volume of mic, play with the lights etc. haha. i feel like a power PA crew member leh! :D and like duh hor, i make a number of good friends woh! :D heh heh.

In bsp camp, there are talks conducted by external speakers, games and a concert on the 2nd night where every grp will get to perform a skit. haha. when a day has ended, the student leaders stay for de-brief no matter how late it is. i must say that, i really learn a lot of new things in these three days through cooperation and observation :D de-briefs are naturally reflective as we have to share our feelings about that particular day and the teachers will give us feedback on our performance and areas for improvement. seriously, after Day 1, i came to understand how hard it is to speak to a super large group of people even though they are younger. haha. i get to go up the stage often to give instructions mah. 1st time leh! :D of cus i will feel paiseh. haha.

after 2nd day, i learnt that we must really be patient and tolerant to one another. there were times when things suddenly went wrong like technical problems and we had to react on the spot quickly to salvage the situation. certainly, there were moments when some of us got frustrated and impatient. so, what we really have to do is to calm ourselves down and mind our tone. becus 言者无心，听者有意, we nvr know things that we don't mean could hurt others. also, we shouldn't take each other for granted. everyone is assigned to duties but some are 幕后 ttm one. haha. like our rightful PA crew, abigail and tian li, who worked silently up there on the gallery while everyone was having fun in the concert. it's really not easy to be them. so, we shouldnt complain when there are sudden technical problems. the 32 of us is a team, no matter if you are a facilliator or an exco.

yeah, and regarding the exco performance, we were criticised by our teachers. becus we potrayed china too negatively. actually we meant the whole terrorist thing as a joke. we talked about 中国社会问题 like 1) 治安不好 2）人民素质差 3）豆腐渣工程 4）censorship. we don't mean this as an insult to china of cus, becus we just want to entertain everyone. haha. but the teachers saw it the other way. she wants us to be 客观 and 全面性. haha. i guess what a teacher expects from a bsp student is the ability to look at things from all points of view. like in an argument, we should not only focus on our stand (一面倒）but also consider the other factors to prove that we are not biased further and hence, strengthen our own points.

but it's ok de lah. haha. her comments, we 铭记在心 heh. i really had fun working with everyone haha. i like nanyang girls hahaha. ppl like jingwen, yvonne and of cus, jessy la etc. they are all very on de. haha. and, mm i like my brothers too haha. linzhuo and hansong called me 'ah bung' which is brother in malay. haha. and mm, i like the dunman peeps too! :D yuhua and chuyang are funny ttm man. haha. i think these are the friends that can really really last. :D heh. some of them call me lao da leh! lol. cus i act as the mafia lord in the skit heh. then they 演习演上瘾 haha :D if i tell u i dont feel shuang leh, i'm lying. haha. and kz, sorry about u being gou3 gou ah. of cus, in my heart, you are not la! haha.

ltr im going out with some of them yesh :D haha. this time, i dont want to talk about this camp from the surface like wahh, very fun ah, we played this we played that, about the food ah etc. instead i want to 更深入地 look at the entire thing, reflectively, becus i feel that if i dont write down, i will just forget abt the feeling of being involved as a student leader. aiyo, mature leh! haha :D
so im sorry if i bore you out. haha.

haha. super busy! camp is tmr le :D and i have to do a final check on the committees. haha. nah, not stressed la :D  i don't freak out easily one mah heh :D calm like still water~ lol. later going out to meet sarah @orchard! haha. mm. and btw meeting ytd was ok ok la. haha. managed to sort out some stuff. phew. and yup, haven't packed yet :D heh heh heh. aiya scared wad hor? at night then do la :D heh. love doing things last minute because it gives you the adrenaline rush. lol. bian tai. but serious, i this person likes to take things slowly and chiong at the very end :D yes, 我就是我 :D

my life, i take charge. believe me, everything is under your call. haha. u can choose to be happy or otherwise. because there are two sides to everything, it is really up to you to decide. we always forget, it is just a matter of choices. you control your life, never the other way round :D

woo yes! today is a sunday, but i'm not going to stay at home and orh orh until 2 plus le.. i'm heading to vivo later for exco performance rehearsal lol. sounds good hor? but pi la! it's so damn last minute i can feel my heart in my mouth. haha. ahhh! camp is just 2 days away *冒冷汗* haha. and we haven't finished our props and run through the skit at all. lol GG le la! heh :D

the 3 days 2 night camp will be held in SSS, like last year :D but the difference is, this time i'm going in as a student organiser, nah not a kiddy participant anymore haha :D i cnt shake and dance and sing and fly like birds in the sky cus i am so going to be busy during the camp! haha. ytd, we had our last meeting with the tchers IC, excos and facilitators :D it was awesome, i totally enjoy this 会议 feeling. heh. every sub-group: resource com(mittee), games com etc went up to present their proposals like 小小企业家 lol, and i feel like i'm a 小老板. haha. so awesome :D and we all give feedbacks to improve on each other's ideas. i really like how things work :D very systematic and organised. very 正式. yes, feel like we are entering the adult world :D

heh. and the ppl here are all very nice de :D some, i only met them ytd becus they were previously abroad. but i have no problems going around to socialise with them becus they are very very easy-going de lo!  :D haha. like jingwen, i talked to her like 2 hour-straight leh, just the two of us, after the dismissal of meeting. heh. and i didn't feel awkward at all and had no urge to pluck in earphones. haha :D and i made new brothers who watched NBA lol (Y)

love making new friends :D heh. after meeting, the excos went to shop for things needed in camp like prizes and games material with the tchers. haha. the feeling is mad shiok. becus it rly feels like a real 'big' thing to me! i donno how to explain leh.. haha. like u r preparing for a major event (which really is). one huge grp of ppl pushing trolleys around, analysing and calculating the budget etc. working as a team to turn nothing into something. heh :D u feel very involved and useful and meaningful lol. a very huge sense of pride and dignity. haha.

ltr going to meet up with the excos for the rehearsal le haha :D @ the vivo skypark there. heh. hope we can bond well and the camp will flow smoothly ba! haha :D tmr i will come here again and.. u will not hear from me the next 3 days le. haha. so. mm. good bye :D

heh, this week has been really awesome :D im exposed to a totally different environment in this short period of time @ vjc. there's a total of 1000 participants in the Youth Sports Conference (YSC) , gathering students from secondary schools, jcs and centralised instituitions all around sg. i have not spoken to someone from a different ethnic race for a very very long time. haha. so, this conference serves as a form of cultural exchange too lol.

im not an elitist but i have to note that, neighbourhood students are generally distinctive from the top schools' students in terms of their behaviour and responses in most kinds of situations. yeah, the people there are very high; they brought up the atmosphere with their cheerings and shout-outs, which are actions that the organisers and speakers will be glad to recieve. but at certain junction, their attitude reflected very badly on themselves when they did things at inappropriate times such as clapping unnecessarily during the keynote speeches. it totally disgusted me. that's not what i expect of a majority sportsmen group. i see no sportsmanship.

my group, Y3, i'm the oldest member and i can see that i have a very different set of values as compared to them. maybe they have not yet matured and thus, lack the experiences to shape them to become someone of a broader perspective and better manners. some are not too bad, and i can mingle with them occasionally. but, they are generally not the kind of friends i'm seeking for. and, our short-term friendship ended upon dismissal of conference.

despite all the shortcomings, i'm still very satisfied with the conference itself :D the keynote speeches, though i have to admit that half the time i'm dozing off, the speakers are really knowlegable in their areas of research -sports science etc. and out of all, mr c kunalan amused me the most with his cute way of presentation. i thought he was a dull person when he last visited rv. but well, i got his signature now :D haha. and the concurrent sessions are informative as well :D i especially enjoyed the talk conducted by Mr Jed Smith on strength training. the topic itself might not arouse a high level of interest but the way he carried himself to engage the audience was the most impressive :D

I also enjoyed the meet-the-athletes sessions, not because the sharing by the athletes was exceedingly inspiring, but the hosts were funny :D haha. it made me wonder, do i have the slightest ability to host an event? can i even talk that fluently and poise myself well in front of the masses? so, generally, what i'm taking away from this conference is the motivation to refine myself and to better carry myself in the public. the image is really important to leave a deep first impression. first impression matters a lot as it is the element that decides how ur future relationship with someone else will develop.

other than all the sharing sessions, i have fun eating :D haha. everyone is amazed by my huge appetite! but, the catering food has a lot of room for improvement man. the buffet at suntec exhibition hall was not too bad though :P heh. went there on the 1st day for opening ceremony :D

also, not forgetting my feelin' fab activity- windsurfing!! haha :D totally enjoyed myself out at the sea as the wind blew against my hair. changi reeks of the oil smell as if u have read the news recently, you would have known about the oil spill. haha. there is still residue of oil on the sea and i got myself oily many times when i lost my balance and fell into the sea. heh. i thought that windsurfing is just a surf board like those u see in bai quan nv wang. haha. but there is a mask attached to the board here, under our command in which direction we want our boards to go. not too bad :D

i love the sea haha :D wearing the life jackets, balancing myself and navigating the sail, climbing onto the board again after falling many times etc. never give up! :D my throat was burning after tasting all the oil. haha. and the coach was especially tough on me. he wanted me to surf back to the shores when all the others were all taken back by a rescue boat. haha. giving me instrucions while he was steering around me on his motor boat and watching me "suffer". i was really alone by then. haha.

windsurfing, oh yeah :D heh.

i enjoyed the mass dance too. oh yeah oh yeah, hey! oh yeah oh yeah, hor! :D haha. but the 30 mins exercise is really too long.. haha. nonetheless, heh :D want to thank my team leader, yee ting too :D though she isn't a very high person, but she is very warm and approachable. till we meet again, :D

after conference, went to celebrate my mum's birthday@ jp pizza hut. haha. my family made me happy :D they are the most awesome ones, for i know they love me and will always love me no matter who i may become in the future. they GMH :D lol.
